At First Glance

Yesterday, the four of us were able to take a glimpse at what would eventually indulge in. A tour of Gnomon truly revved the ol' engines as we walked through the labs, lounges, and various studios. It was nothing short of astounding, for I had zero expectations. What Monday will bring for us, no one can tell.

As for the city of L.A., yes there is slight cloud of smog. As you stare into the distance, a thick shade of grey shrouds the horizon before shifting to the blue sky.

A full day has passed since our arrival at the apartment complex, and it is already beginning to seem like home. Our patience is essential if we are to continue living in this new flow of energy. Only the tip of the iceberg has been tacked off as we hope to sculpt our person even further. I find myself fortunate to be with individuals so comfortable with being themselves while being a strong part of the group. Though this group may be temporary in our lives, we certainly hope to mold an everlasting structure which can never be destroyed.

The Day Before

The final hours before this trip have become slow, and filled with mixed emotions. I'm not too sure what to expect from this journey, for there many things I desire to accomplish and learn, but I am uncertain of the degree of these accomplishments. I must say, this causes all of my expectations to diminish for the only thing I am certain of is the mystery of what this experience will give me.

Hello and welcome to The Gnomon Experience, let me briefly explain what this blog is all about,

Robin Clark, James Howell, Jordan Maire, and Alex Harrington will be traveling to the far distant land of California to attend Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Los Angeles. Growth of knowledge, techniques, and practices within the field of computer graphics will be one of the many achievements to fulfill. We are not too sure what other mysteries will reveal themselves to us as we valiantly immerse ourselves into our own fields of choice.
